In Czech Republic you can find pieces of history everywhere. The oldest cities were founded already during the Middle Ages and the high number of over 2000 of castles and chateau are an important part of the national cultural heritage.
If you would like to return to Renaissance times, you should visit the beautiful city of Český Krumlov. Thanks to its unique preserved medieval core, Český Krumlov is included on the UNESCO list.
Chateau Konopiště was an early-Gothic castle and was rebuilt into a baroque chateau. You can find unbelievable parks with romantic rose gardens there.
And what about one of the best known Czech symbols? The Karlštejn castle was founded in 1348 by the king Charles IV. The crown jewels and relics of the crucifixion were housed here.
Kutná Hora since 1995 included in the UNESCO list, is the city of silver. Do you like mystery places? Then you should visit the complex of the former cistercian Abbey in Sedlec near Kutná Hora.
The most famous spa town of the Czech Republic is Karlovy Vary. It is a great mixture of beautiful facades, colonnades, traditional shops and painted houses.
