Explore Lošinj, the island of vitality in Croatia

The immediate surroundings of Mali Lošinj offer a number of different attractions for tourists of all stripes.

Visit the surrounding islands of Susak, Ilovik and Unije to learn more about the region’s culture and customs. The islands of Krk and Cres are not far either and offer the unique opportunity to see one of the oldest preserved texts written in Croatian, the Vinodol Statute.

The Istrian peninsula offers a variety of options for exciting trips and excursions. Go to the theatre or attend a concert in Rijeka, or visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Euphrasian Basilica in Porec and St. Euphemia’s Church in Rovinj.

But Lošinj itself has plenty to offer, too. Explore the natural environment on the extensive network of hiking trails (more than 220 km) or enjoy a stroll through one of the island’s many sweet-smelling gardens.

Special events include the summer solstice celebrations as well as Dolphin Day, which attracts visitors from around the world every year to make a statement for a life in harmony with nature.
