Dornbirn is the larges city of the province of Vorarlberg. It is the commercial and business center of the region. Dornbirn is a small vivid city, which has never really lost its village character. Shaped through the architectonic styles of three and a half centuries, the Market square in Dornbirn is an important meeting point for people of all ages. Things to See and Do: Variety at all elevations
The Ausflugskarte Dornbirn (tourist card) is valid for four days and gives you the possibility to discover the city and its surroundings with free rides on the city bus and free admission to selected museums.
The region’s varied landscape guarantees variety in your holiday. A special feature is the possibility of combining winter sports with city flair – after all, the ski areas in Bregenzerwald are not far from Dornbirn. From March through October, a fleet of excursion boats crosses Lake Constance between Lindau, Friedrichshafen and the “flower island” of Mainau.
