The Wolin National Park was established in 1960 and comprises a total of 224.5 ha with 6 strictly protected zones. The main attraction is the wisent reservation located just 2 km from our hotel. The nature museum presents the beauty of Wolin’s forest and its unique flora and fauna.
One of the highest points of the region is Mount Kawcza. At its northern end, the moraine surface ends with a cliff that falls sheer into the sea and which accounts for nearly the entire coastline of the national park. Zielonka Hill offers stunning views over the extended back delta of the river Świna and parts of the Oder Lagoon.
Turquoise Lake in Wapnica is a former chalk pit dating to the 1930s that was flooded during the Second World War. It owes its name to the colour of the water, which depends on the light conditions.
